Southern Heights using Upward ministry to partner with BGR

Russellville—Upwards basketball and cheerleading ministry at Southern Heights Baptist Church of Russellville has taken on a mission project to provide clean water {insert area wells will be provided to} by purchasing wells through Baptist Global Response.

Gray, Smith, Patterson headline West Ky. Evangelism Conference

Princeton—Approximately 250 Kentucky Baptists gathered in the sanctuary of Southside Baptist Church in Princeton on March 7 for the 29th annual West Kentucky Evangelism Conference.

Speakers included Todd Gray, Kentucky Baptist Convention’s regional consultant for western Kentucky; Kevin Smith, KBC president; and Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas. Parr retires at Morehead State, leaving discipleship legacy

Morehead—Gene Parr, campus missionary to Morehead State University, is retiring after 34 years. The legacy he leaves behind on the campus is one of discipleship.
