Henderson church gives sports equipment to Louisville ministry

Henderson—A western Kentucky church partnered with Long Run Baptist Association to donate sports equipment to an urban Louisville ministry.

Zion Baptist Church in Henderson has been collecting the equipment for years for a ministry that never quite came to fruition. In effort to do something meaningful with the large amount of equipment, they contacted the Kentucky Baptist Convention, which pointed them to Long Run Baptist Association and the Louisville Baptist Fellowship Center. Nursing fellowship celebrating another year of ministry

Elizabethtown—At any given Kentucky Baptist meeting, gathering or church block party, a table of Baptist Nursing Fellowship nurses will likely be found with their blood sugar and pressure monitors, pamphlets and expert advice. Kentucky BNF is celebrating another successful year of ministry by keeping at it.

First Baptist offers thriving ministry for internationals at MSU

Murray—Around 50 Murray State University international students gathered with First Baptist Church of Murray for food and fellowship to kick off their school year on Aug. 13. It was just one of many events that First Baptist will host for the international student ministry.

Three years ago, Steve and Paula Alcott started the ministry after a few Chinese students approached him in Walmart asking for a ride back to campus. As they spoke on the ride back, he explained that he had just returned from visiting his daughter, who is a missionary in China. The couple invited the students to church.
