Josh Landrum of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, ran unopposed for second vice president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Nominated by Tim Scott of Milton Baptist, Landrum was elected by acclamation to the position.
“Dr. Landrum is a two time graduate of Southern Seminary and embodies what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ in every area of his life. As a husband to Cassie, a father, pastor, or simply a friend, Dr. Landrum seeks to earnestly model Jesus Christ,” Scott said in his nomination of Landrum.
He continued, “Dr. Landrum further represents what our convention is all about, reaching our state, nation and world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.” Scott mentioned Landum leading ten national and international mission trips, seeing two families sent out to the IMB, and his leading Bullitt Lick to support two church plants.
Bullitt Lick gives ten percent of their undesignated receipts to the Cooperative Program and an additional 11.7% to other mission work and offerings. Scott added, “He loves our convention and has a heart to lead us into greater cooperation with one another as witnessed through his various roles in the local association and state convention work.”
Landrum has been pastor at Bullitt Lick since July 2014, has served on the KBC’s Committee on Constitution and Bylaws and tellers committee, as well as on the administrative team for Nelson Baptist Association.
