CORBIN–“God’s will is for the lost to hear and be won. We must all be engaged in winning souls, and as we are, we will experience intimacy with Christ,” Katie Orr, author and speaker, said at the Kentucky Woman’s Missionary Union annual meeting and missions celebration in Corbin on March 31-April 1.

Cadiz senior adults start own Centershot program

CADIZ–The senior adults of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Cadiz aren’t going to let the youth have all the fun. They have joined in on the excitement that Centershot, an outreach program that shares the gospel through archery by partnering with churches, has to offer by starting their own Centershot Bible study, specifically geared toward retired senior adults.

Led by Tim Smith, pastor of Locust Grove, the group of 60- to 70-year-olds, met for six weeks for a time of fellowship and fun and to study the Bible together. KBC Sunday School consultant releases ‘Revolutionary’ book

LOUISVILLE–Darryl Wilson, Kentucky Baptist Convention’s Sunday School and discipleship consultant, will release his book “Disciple-Making Encounters: Revolutionary Sunday School” May 1.

“Disciple-Making Encounters,” published by Aneko Press, encourages Sunday School teachers to first have an encounter with God in their own personal Bible study so that their “life as a teacher will be radically changed,” Wilson states on the back cover.
